Printer Problem - Lexmark X5400 Series

We own a Lexmark X5470 Printer/Fax/Scanner. We've had it for about a year now and it's never given us any trouble till now (except when we had to replace the USB cable). A few days ago anytime I attemped to print anything my pc would suddenly freeze. So I Uninstall/reinstalled the drivers/software hoping that would be the end of my problem. But now if I even plug in the USB cable from the printer to my PC it just Freezes for an indefinite amount of time. Tried googling and found nothing that helped. Does somebody know what it could be?

Ps. I tried it on a separate pc and and had the same problem.

I think you might want to take the printer into the place you purchased it from or to your local neighbourhood IT techies and let them have a look at it. This doesn't look like your usual everyday printer problem as I've never heard of it and you can't find anything on Google which points to the actual printer having internal problems.

Had a similar type problem.
Install driver on another pc. print something.
If it works, update your drivers. found mine somewhere in the usa.
