Hellooo.
I need help, please.

I have an Ecoflow river pro: details here
I run my tv (60 watts)
Amplifier (50 watts)
PC (40 watts)
The watts are based on averages.
The issue I have, is when I turn my printer on (30 watts), it turns off the AC output on the Ecoflow).

To put that further into perspective, I had a much older with much lower specs, previously. But switching on the printer never had any effect on it.

Can anyone give me some advice, please?
Thank you in advance.

What type of printer?

Lasers have a fixer and this can draw 1200 watts while it heats up
An ink-jet uses coils to force the ink from the tank and these also use a substantial current for a few seconds

The printer draws too much power , exceeding the rated max power draw of the ecoflow..

Print before loadshedding strikes..

Wow. I did not know that. But I am still curious why the previous inverter handled it. That machine and batteries were bought 3 years ago.
Pity I don't have the specs anymore.

Your previous inverter was likely 1000+ watts, which is common on a few inverters from that era, particularly if it were one of those trolley based ones..

Wow. Spot on. I managed to find the model, 1440watts. The only reason I really replaced it, was because its backup time dropped over the years. I guess new batteries would have done the trick, but the new Ecoflow is really nice. Just not for a printer. Thank you for your insight.
I really appreciate it

I was about to send the thing back.
