Lady drove all the way to my work, had her Laptop and all the docs I needed. Explained everything I needed clearly and nicely. Filled in the forms, no queues no hassel

LOL...pitbull i agree fully, Private Banking is so FTW! I joined this year when I was told I couldn't get a credit card with my old bank because I didnt have a credit reputation!!! And I couldnt take out a cell phone contract because I didnt have a credit card...so left them both and joined private banking, got credit card instantly and a cell phone contract soon followed...

And the reason I didnt have a credit card...my mom says credit is from the DEVIL! jk just dont believe credit is all that important...but in this world you need the credit rep for...well...just about anything worthwhile.

Yeah, I'm on private banking. All my cards etc get personally delivered and I have a personal banker that I call directly for all my queries... And no, I call this guy on his cell phone 7 days a week! Private banking is what I expect from banking!

I was offered Nedbank Private Banking before I was doing a course in UJ to qualify for CIMA (UK), should I go for it? Currently with FNB and happy, recently opened a ABSA investment account, used to be with Nedbank during early Varsity years.

Nope not really, businessmen depositing large sums of money also qualify... The banks have 2 sectors, so I think the qualified professionals fall in the Corporate sector. A friend of mine has a Friendly Grocer, he also qualifies for private banking.

I think ABSA has the lowest current minimum gross, which is R650k.
FNB Private Clients = R750k

Think Investec is R800k or R850k.

Between ~R275K and R700K you qualify for a prestige account.
You get assigned a personal consultant and thats about it.

What made me feel so uterly special was this woman a Private banker came to see ME !
And we even have an in house STDbank branch but ofc I was to important for our in house banker

Seriously guys, that is the life. Maybe one day I can have my own personal Banker /start day dream
