Hi There,

I run about 8 small shared hosting servers, and am migrating my nameservers to join part of our main hosting domain (a .za.net domain).

However, I see now that when I try to transfer my .com and .net domains to the new name servers - I get an error indicating that I need to "Register the nameservers with verisign", which is "done through your registrar".

Now, the new nameservers are on the .za.net domain. This means that there isn't a registrar as such, so I am unable to 'register' them as private nameservers. Does anybody know how I could go about this? The main issue is that the underlying domain (".net"), forms part of the protected zone that verisign requires registered, so I am worried that this is an impossible request.

It's quite a unique problem, so I don't know who to speak to about it.

Thanks,
Z

You can't have nameservers on on the .za.net extension, it is a common issue with this extension.

Alright, thanks Dave!

I'm going to rather stick the nameservers onto my co.za domain, thereby removing the need for any such verification :)
