ProAsm, so what's happened?

I don't even bother asking the help desk, so what's the deal on the new ip address scheme. I see I'm on the IS pool - 196.34 range. Is this a permanent solution?, especially to the 256K guys. Speeds are much better...184.50kbps.
 
I am on the 256k package and my ip is still in the 66.x.x.x range. It was 196.x.x.x briefly yesterday. Speeds are non existent. I can't even browse.
 
I got just the opposite, my speed has actually decreased as a result of the change in ip range.
 
I took most of the week off so I'm also in the dark atm [:)]

I'm now convinced Sentech monitor these forums, the minute I say "speeds OK", it goes down to a 2K modem.
 
I'm in a similar situation to RogueKill my speeds have also dropped after the move to 196.34.x.x
 
ProAsm, did you go for any Job Interviews???

I reckon they just took a few kb/s bandwidth from people that aren't having any speed issues, and distribute it among the people that are. that way they can stop people from complaining about the speed, and not having to buy extra bandwidth.

OK Now i am gatvol..... had a max of 2Kb tonight and then my firewall drops to monitoring in BYTES....YES BYTES then that open ticket with them is gonna be escalted....

Guess when support gives me a call in the morning....Mr NICE GUY is gone.....

I think Ms Potgieter will be getting an hourly email to request an explanation on the MARKETING STRATEGY of resolving this issue......

Hope this submission gets through......might not have enough bandwidth...

Hey, why are you guys so hard on me...have any of you ever worked for a company with ethics lower than your own??? That's when I jump ship I'm sorry. A company is only as good as its leadership and you can all answer that yourselves about Sentech.

Another thing...if you want to know how a company treats their employees, have a look and see how they treat their customers. I don't work there so I cannot say for sure but I feel sorry for the poor Orcs in the call centre. Put yourself in their shoes, especially when all calls are recorded.

So ProAsm, I wasn't being nasty, just imagining how you feel. It's hard when you try and make a difference yet the leadership brakes everything you work for down continuously.

We appreciate what you are doing ProAsm
