ProAsm, so what's happened?

Thx Kickbutt...it seems to happen in spurts...the speed I mean. I can't wait to hear what was the cause this time.

<br />Well, things back to snails pace, or is it just me?

Nope, still slow with me too, been slow since about last Wednesday. Just the forums seem quiet, maybe people have given up hope now? (Which is about where I am, I've come to the conclusion that Sentech probably do not plan to fix the speed problems. And maybe they think "why should they"? They're still signing up plenty of new customers who are mostly locked into two year contracts, so they only need to fix the speed problems +/- 18 months from now. How many of us would still be with Sentech now if it weren't for the contract?)

Weird isn't it, I'm downloading at good rates,[url http://dorris.hopto.org[/url]
I started downloading mandrake 10.0 cd3 at around 10:45, at 14Kb/s, and everyone else starts moaning about speed problems. maybe its been my downloads all along! Sorry guys, if its my fault, the download will be done by morning [:)]
If it makes anyone feel better, speeds have now gone down to 10K, I think I'll log that call now.
NOTE TO ALL FLAMERS
This post is not meant to antagonise anyone, I'm just thankful I got me a good tower

It's not a case of 'good' or 'bad' towers. On the same tower (and same spot, same signal strength, same computer, same setup), I've had from very good speeds in the beginning (always 15KB/s up till about March), then fairly bad speeds (4-6KB/s during week or two around inauguration), so-so speeds (average 9KB/s) since inauguration, and utterly rubbish speeds (less than 3KB/s) since last week.

I'm blind or something, don't seem to see the timeline .. ?

Ah, I see one has to register to see the timeline. Wouldn't it be more effective in getting the message out if the timeline was visible without a logon? Most 'casual' visitors aren't going to register.
