Problem connecting to any PLAYNC website

Hi all.

I've been having this weird problem where I can't seem to load any plaync related website, EX. Plaync.com Guildwars.com aiononline.com exct.
At first I thought it was just a small hick-up that would be sorted if I give it time, but I still can't connect to any of these sites??

I have tried from other computers, other internet connections and still the same happens.. for interest sake, I have got a Guildwars account and am able to log into the game no prob.

These are the errors I get from my browser: "Service Unavailable

The requested service is temporarily unavailable. It is either overloaded or under maintenance. Please try later. "

Read that afew times and you'll know whats wrong

like I said.. this isn't something that happened just this once. It's been an ongoing thing

Rather then telling me what the error reads, which I already know you might try the site yourself?? and then let me know if you receive the same error message.

I just visited the PlayNC site and am not having any problems.

I have noticed in the past that if I tried to visit PlayNC sites when I was browsing via the dsl-cache.saix.net proxy I received the same error as you are. Hopefully that's your problem. I am otherwise stumped as to what could be wrong.

what isp are you using Lyndon; i get the same error on saix shaped international without any proxy settings. /sigh also same issue it seems why i cant connect to any random US or EU mirc server using siax, but IS works fine....

I've got a SAIX shaped account with openweb, and I have just tested the plaync website at work from my 3G modem but I still get the same error. "Service Unavailable

The requested service is temporarily unavailable. It is either overloaded or under maintenance. Please try later. "

I have noticed that all the European plaync websites give me no problem when I connect to them. http://eu.plaync.com/eu/

wonder if this is a SAIX related issue?

I have two - Telkom ISP and Axxess. Both work fine

I have exactly the same problem. This is particularly annoying because I have no access to the wiki now. This problem started about one (maybe two) months ago

if you trace port 80 there's something really fishy happening

it looks like saix has some sort of "invisible proxy" that's broken for the guildwars website. tracert on any other port has a huge amount of hops. I wonder, do we still get charged for international usage when saix is caching data (in this case incorrectly) locally? and just how much of the internet that we see is "correct" and "current" ?
