Problem need help !!

I just added 2 more gigs of OCZ Ram to my existing 2 gigs of Adata Ram on my Asus P5n32sli deluxe board in Windows Vista and when loading up, it says there is a problem and it cannot load windows but rather to put in the installation disc and try a repai. All ram is working on all 4 slots.
Any ideas?

New Ram incompatible with Adata? Try only use OCZ and boot. Remember if you MB supports dual channel, you need to put the same brand/speed of ram in the correct slot.
 
So it's works with the Adata but not when you add or run it only with the OCZ Ram?

Are you sure that all the RAM has the correct timing,

Example:
Chip1 [5-5-5-4] Chip 2 [5-5-5-4] ... - Like this?

Chip 1 [6-6-6-5] Chip 2 [5-5-5-4] ... - or Like this?

Also check that the Mobo supports that brand "sounds silly cause OCZ is one of the best" but that could be a posibility.
 
Are you overclocking your CPU and/or RAM? Please try to load default or fail-safe settings in your BIOS together with only OCZ memory installed. Have you try put memory in different combination slots?
 
As a quick way out, try this --->

1) "replace" the 2 OLD mem chips with the 2 new one's and start...If it DOES start, move the SAME 2 chips to the other 2 open slots, and re-start...

a) If it starts it could be 1) weak P/Supply

b) If it doesnt start it could be faulty mem slots or bios settings

well yea declock if your ocing

go into your mobo reset everything to default to make sure the ram timing's are fine

make sure your memory is paired, like on gigabyte mobo's you have yellow slots and red slots

ocz in yellow adata in red dont put them in different slots or you will have a problem

also test with 3 gigs of memory i know some asus boards have issues when using 4 gig of memory
 
Hi guys and thanks for the help, Seems that they may have been in the wrong slots however once I sorted that out, the computer bahves very eratically, playing COD 4 and keeps crashing. I just do not think vista or the games can support 4 gigs properly.
All the ram works but when running total 4 gigs ....runs strangely.

Does It Freeze up and force you to Hard boot?
 
Ok...Ill post something here you must look for

1) Make sure slot 1 and 3 has the SAME mem sticks ( mhz wise ) so as slot 2 and 4
2) In the bios, change the speed to the "lowest" of those 4 mem sticks
3) restart and work from there
 
OCZ ram is like a good overclocking board. It can be as fickle as hell on startup but runs like a dream when it's tweaked.
OCZ's voltage requirements are a bit higher than for most other ram and therein may lie your problem. Check the voltage rating on your OCZ ram against the rating for your Adata. Then check what the voltage is set at in the BIOS. If you need to feed it more voltage to get the OCZ to work properly and you aren't going to fry the other ram in the process give that a try.
I don't know what OCZ ram you have but most of their performance ram handles up to 2.1v Please exercise caution with this. We don't want to hear you cooked 4 gigs of RAM :D

Funny thing is when I put the ADATA ram in the first 2 slots (Slot 1 and 2?? colour black and Orabeg) and then the OCZ in the 3rd and fourth, it boots up otherwise if I put the Adata in both Black slots and the OCZ in both orange, it does not even load up, says it is missing some files on windows startup. ?????
I thought the colours were for matching the ram and that the ADATA should be in both the orange and the OCZ both in the black slots.

Cough* umm, what lesson have we learnt today ppl?? Don't mix n match ram!
