Well - picked up the vehicle, Reeds decided it wasn't the wheel bearings - and thought they'd fixed it with the service, unfortunately on the way home - the sound is still there....
Check the tyres - some tyres wear the alternate 'blocks' on the tread surface, leading to a feathering that makes a hell of a noise. If you run your hand lightly over the tyre surface. front to back and back to front, on the ege of the tread where it meets the sidewall, you may be able to feel it. You may also be able to spot the difference in texture if you stand behind the vehicle and inspect the tyres.
if its not a bearing it might be gearbox
