My most expensive services on a 2.0T weren't even that and that's with plugs which are the expensive part and in the modern world only needs to be done at crazy mileage so shouldn't be applicable on a 2016. And then if it was that's because it uses super cheap plugs and would therefore be much cheaper.

And what is this *** they sprayed underneath? Never heard of that before.
 
They charge what they want because they hold the warranty ransom, if it wasn't for that I'd do the service myself.

Not sure what the black stuff is, they done it on the last two cars I've purchased. Makes it look new underneath, and they adjust the OTZR fees accordingly.
 
Makes you wonder what they hid under the new black coating...;)
My guess would be that the bakkie went over a kerb or round-about at speed and owner only replaced damaged parts before trading in. Bearing damage only apparent many a mile afterwards.

Lol at the guys thinking it was a Renault.
 
Well - picked up the vehicle, Reeds decided it wasn't the wheel bearings - and thought they'd fixed it with the service, unfortunately on the way home - the sound is still there....

Check the tyres - some tyres wear the alternate 'blocks' on the tread surface, leading to a feathering that makes a hell of a noise. If you run your hand lightly over the tyre surface. front to back and back to front, on the ege of the tread where it meets the sidewall, you may be able to feel it. You may also be able to spot the difference in texture if you stand behind the vehicle and inspect the tyres.
 
Nissan NP 200 is a Renault.

X keep hammering the dealership. They sold you problems. They must fix or replace. What they try and do is to keep palming you off until the six months are gone then they show you a toffee.

Interesting - there is one of those snot puncture repair jobs in the one tyre - will check the rest.

Gearbox was done in December when I first picked up the sound - however, I've taken the vehicle out of gear, and pressed in the clutch - sound doesn't change.

Also - it doesn't change pitch with engine rpm, gears, or braking...
