Problems again Disconnect for no apparent reason

Hi Need Help.

I had this with my phone and now again with DATA Card.
Just disconnects.Data card I get the following.
Staying in Dersley Park area Springs.
Phone would say nothing data card is down below.

Mobile connection not possible.

- Set your current mobile device as the default
device in the 'Manage Devices' view Checked default.
- Ensure that no other programs are using your
mobile device and try again in a short while
- Delete the device in the 'Manage Devices' view,
add it back again, and then try connecting.

If this error persists, please contact Support
at your mobile network operator.

Support information:
RAS error code 631

What do I have to look for, does somebody else have the same problem.
Signal varies between 2 and 3 bars.
Happened 5 times so far.

Which data card/device are you using?

The E220 (and E272 I think) usb modem emulates a cdrom device and certain cd writing software do cause issues with detection of the device.

Hi Saule,

I'm using E272 data modem.
It happened twice tonight that I got disconnected.
I'm using FireFox 3.0 as my browser.
Switched now over to Internet explorer 7.
When I browse I dont burn any CD's or youse any othe devices.
I had this problem even when I used my phones as modems.
Currently I have four Bars on my Vodacom icon.

It just comes up no connection, I dont use Nero at that given time.

I assume you're using VMCLite version 9.3.0894(the one that comes with the E272)?

Download the newer version of 9.3 from Vodacom's Website and use that instead of the Lite.

I've seen a few scenario's where the setup is perfect, VMC and VMCLite is installed, and when running from VMC after about exactly 30seconds it disconnects, but when switching to VMCLite it works perfectly.

So i'm suggestion use VMC 9.3 instead of Lite form the Modem.
