Problems in PTA East

Was offline yesterday 11:00-13:00. 2x lines & adsl dead. Was fixed pretty quick though so it was probably not just my line.
 
Sigh... ok so look like the trouble you all had has finally hit me... Past 2 days line drops (loses sync) at about 7PM... Comes back at around 9PM for 15mins then gone again till 00h00. Line speed is set to 1Mb/s, so i dont want to be told its distance. Overpopulation? Im on standby for the whole weeks raid because of this, which is not helping me be zen at the moment. Anyone else having the same issues in Garsfontein area before the poor soul that answers the phone first gets torn a new one?

Well I'm still stuck at 1Mb sync speed even though my port is configured for 4 Mb, have no idea when that is going to be sorted.

At least I do not have any more dc's after the techs found a issue in the cable
 
So low and behold a Telkom techie pitches at my house yesterday and we make an extended effort to find out whats going on. At first it seemed Telkom side...yet his m8 in the exhange said all green there. Right... So looking ahead we find the entrypoint of the cable into the house. Some split in the cable running to an abandoned jack was found embedded into the wall. Righto. So remove the split... Done. Hook up Telkom modem. It works! Ok so hook up my modem... keeps dropping. Oh no.. i can hear a callout fee coming on. Run the non split line down to my original jack and same thing, only now both modems drops. Weird.. Mmm... Decide to look at the jack itself. Great Scott the contacts are rusty! Replace the jackbox with the latest. Running a stable 2.5 - 3.5Mb/s now, latencies round 250. No DC's yet. Im a happy camper!!

I'm also having issues. VERY high latency, 1200ms+ to Battle.net. Equestria region.
 
No issues in Erasmuskloof, streaming Netflix on 2 devices and my wife gets 180-200ms ping to EU battle.net servers at the same time.
