For the past week or so, I've had trouble browsing websites on the Gawker Media network, including www.kotaku.com and www.gizmodo.com. This issue is present on all three PCs on my home network. After confirming it wasn't a firewall or browser-specific problem, I asked a friend of mine who is also on iBurst if he was able to browse those websites, and he's having the exact same problem - the sites stop loading when Firefox's status is at "Read tags.[domain.com]" or "Loading cache-foo.[domain.com]", and all network activity ceases. After 5 minutes or so have passed, the website will resume loading, although this process remains incomplete (i.e. some content is missing from the page).
I can, however, successfully ping, tracert, and nslookup these sites from the command prompt. This problem only occurs in browsers (both Firefox and Internet Explorer). I do not have any problems loading anything else whatsoever.
I have contacted the iBurst helpdesk, who were totally unhelpful. Of course, these are the same people who took nearly four months to respond to a billing query, and then failed to resolve it. SURPRISE.
Is any other iBurst user (particularly in the Cape Town area) having the same problem?
