I tried on Saturday to port my number to Vodacom. Was originally on Vodacom until the beginning of the year when I moved over to CellC.

However when I tried porting back to Vodacom on Saturday the system kept giving the sales consultant an error saying that the number needs to be archived first or something like that.

CellC has said that there is nothing wrong on their side and this number is on prepaid etc etc.

Anyone from Vodacom that can help with this?

Hi,

I also have the same problem.

Someone from Vodacom please help??

If the system gives the "number must be archived first" error, all the store needs to do is log a reqeust with IT. They will archive the number and then the port may proceed. This normally happens when a Vodacom number ports out and then wants to port back in at a later stage. I have had several of these and it is easy to fix. The store must just log the call.

I am having the same problem after porting my number from Cell C to Vodacom. When I dial *100# I get the message "Subscriber not found for service adminentry".

I too am having problems porting from FNB Connect to Vodacom. Is it possible to cancel a port? It's been pending since December 2018. FNB Connect says my number is ready to be ported and blames Vodacom.

I am having problems with getting incoming calls since I ported from cell c to vodacom. All I get is voicemail messages telling me I missed a call from the numbers that try to call me which is frustrating as this is my business line. I reached out to vodacom few days ago and they claim to have sorted it out but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Secondly network just goes off my phone with this new vodacom SIM card sometimes for hours. Can someone from vodacom please help because this is really making me question if porting to vodacom was a good idea after all the mess I’m currently going through.
