Problems today?

Hi all,

I am at work, so not on the iBurst network today. My wife is having problems though, but I can't verify properly from here. I can't get to www.iburst.co.za, so is there some problem, or maybe it's my router.

I can access the site fine- I am at work on Telkom Diginet
 
I'm capped, but it took 39min to download a 1.4meg file @ 0.6 KB/s. Not good :(
 
I've just encountered what seems to be a dns problem. I wasn't able to see or ping myadsl or afrihost. I could ssh to another server and see the sites fine from there but not from my iburst. I changed my dns servers to use Telkom's and now its fine. I suspect we'll hear from more ibursters that got cut off from myadsl when they can reach the site again.
 
I can't get to iburst site either.
Dit try to download a 10mb file thismoring around 5.30.
got 1.06mb/s - estimated download time 3hrs 17min.
There must be someting wrong.
 
From my limited knowledge, it would seem that there is some peering problem between IS and UUNET maybe? I know IS had problems yesterday, and there is no way I can get to any iburst servers from IS, and vice versa
 
Yep, I had DNS problems last night, which are not iBurst related as I was seeing it yesterday at work too. Probably a DNS issue. Happens often in SA
 
Got home @ 16:00 & tried connecting. Bang - 'Access was denied because the username...". Guess my account is suspended again. My total usage is 4.2GB at the moment. WTF is going on? Tried calling helpdesk but was on hold for way too long.

Currently using my 56k modem.

Anyone else have their accounts suspended for fun?
 
check you got the email saying the account is suspended because my usage was higher and now I'm scared to disconnect
 
ok i disconnected and reconnected and my account is fine, i really dont think that your account was suspended rebel or at least not due to "abuse"
