Problems using 1TB Drive with Blaupunkt STY0632-s TV

A colleague owns Blaupunkt STY0632-s TV and played files off a 1TB drive on it with no problems.

The drive started playing up, which was unsurprising due to it's age, so they bought a new 1TB drive. So I helped to transfer the data over to the new drive, but upon using the drive the TV just displays a "no content" message.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Does anyone know if this TV only plays drives formatted in a certain way (FAT, NTFS)?

Most likely it needs to be partitioned in either NTFS or exFAT.

So simply check what the old drive was and do the same.

Could even be that it requires FAT32 but that's problematic on a 1TB in general.

NTFS is really only available on mid to high range TV's, this one looks like a budget TV.

exFAT is also probably not supported.

FAT32 should be fine but of course it has the 4GB file limitation and you will need a tool or use CMD as windows wont format anything bigger than 32GB to FAT32.

Really depends on the tv and has little to do with price.

Many support NTFS and many support exFat.

Most support FAT32 but that has its own issues for size etc.

Likely all of this would be covered in the manual.

Blaupunkt being a bullshit brand now probably not easy to find online.
