Hi All,

I'm new so please excuse any accidental transgressions.

About 2 and a half months ago I applied for a 4mb Telkom Adsl line. About a week later the technician came out and installed the voice line. After that my troubles started.

I have literally phoned Telkom more than 20 times trying to sort out the mess. Eventually one of their people was able to tell me that there are not ports available. This was more than a month ago. I keep phoning and the technical department keep telling me that they cannot help me, I simply have to wait until they one day add ports.

To add insult to my predicament they are actually billing me for both the voice and ADSL lines ...

I have no idea how to fix this. Can any of you please recommend a possible solution.

Kind Regards,
Cobus

You wait and hope ports free up or they upgrade their hardware in your area. If you can find a techie working around the area it would best to ask them you will not get anything out of the call center. You can also try and send a private message on the Telkom Facebook site.

Other than that it's just a waiting game. I waited 6 months for a port.

I also had a problem and was informed there where no ports but I wasn't billed anything until a port finally opened up.
I then found out that where over 6 ports available when the tech came to install everything, I actually took off work to be there when the guy arrived and went to the exchange with him.
