My personal problems thus far this month:

1) Accounts Upgrade (this was due to take place from 14-17th August 2009 and seems to still be in progress...)
2) Bandwidth monitor - Was down or incorrect for +- 1 week or longer.
3) Was switched to a 'throttled' account due to the "Upgrade" - This turned out to be a common problem (Shaun resolved this by posting a resolution here)
3) Accounts : Incorrect information given when I downgraded my account on the 25th . (Everything that goes wrong in accounts now seems to have a convenient excuse - "The Upgrade" - This was supposed to FIX things - Shaun helped me to get this resolved)
4) Contacted by my brother re. a "Dashboard" update that caused it to stop working and thus he could not connect to the Internet. (Again looks like it was a common problem)
5) Today (28 August) - Total loss of browsing to basically all sites until just after 13:00

There are still a couple of days left in the month... what next?
I know there are other issues being experienced from watching the threads here.

Please feel free to add your own experiences this month...

Frequent disconnects. So many that the "keep connected" function on the router eventually gives up and everything needs to be rebooted.

1. I agree , this month has been absolutely terrible .
-Disconnects
-Broken Antenna
-Total loss of connectivity
-Broken Dashboard

The Pre-paid product turns out to be the "NEW Surprise" that we been waiting for...

mmmmm.. lets see. where to begin..

1. disconnects
2. throttled speed sux so hard.
3. towers going off in the middle of the work day
4. iburst pricing is still the most expensive in the country unless u count (PPU) oh wait they still up there
5. client support are useless.telling me i cant connect cause i have windows 7
6. i think only reason iburst is still surviving is cause of shauns attempts to satisfy the gamers. as he has seen 90% of ppl willing to spend good money on decent net is gamers
7. 3 gig cap for R489 or something like that... is retarted.. thought iburst was good offering a 1mbps wireless.. comparing to the netherlands.. but obviously this country doesnt posses any sort of first world bandwidth
8.one last thing... i had to say thankyou to shaun more times that i could count. because of the ques of the call centre... seeming u ripping everyone else off so hard u should have money to pay for more staff please employ more

Definate agreement here. Normally I'm very patient with disconnects and Iburst not being available, but this month it has gone to extremes.

I'm actually looking at switching over to another provider as IBurst is a nightmare and my patience has run out.

hehe thank goodness im switching soon too.. hehe waiting for neotel to come setup.. should be either tomoro or next day

Only problems I had with Iburst this month was with the dashboard "Still not working though" and wasn't able to connect few days ago for about 3 hours.

Other than that I dont have any complaints accept for paying R599 for a 5GIG cap where I can get double that at Neotel for the same price. A 100 bucks more and I get triple my cap.

If Iburst can double / triple my current cap for the same price that I'm paying now I wont even think of switching over to Neotel. When Neotel extend their covarage to my area and I'm still paying what I'm paying now for 5GIGs I will probably also move over....

because of that.. my company is switching to neotel we are ordering as we speak .. we lost alot of money now

Yep, I'm just waiting for Telkom to install a new line, then I'm canceling the work's iBork.. .!.. iFap.

I'm also considering Neotel. The NeoFlex Data packages are fairly well priced. 10GB for R699 a month isn't bad at all.

just started the cogs on getting my telkom line today :)

w00t I can do a self-install, it's party time yo

Hi Dusk

You gotta give me more than that.... Is it comms with Hot and Naughty in France?......:P

Some address detail would be nice.

Thanks

Well i got my usage report this morning and i have used nearly a whole gig.. amazing considering my pc was turned off since 8pm last night as was my modem due to a power problem our complex was having.

amazing considering my pc was turned off since 8pm last night as was my modem due to a power problem our complex was having.

I have the same problem, 700MB has disappeared according to my bandwidth report.

I have PM Shaun concerning this matter. Hope to get this matter resolved soon.

At least I am not the only with missing bandwidth.

Oh, and the 564 MB file I've been downloading since midday just bombed at 497 MB when my signal died. That's over R100 worth of my bandwidth.

Nice. Thanks, iBurst.
