During the test stage last monthI regularly got better than the anticipated results.
However since then it has been going downhill steadily and the worst part is that from the 30th September I have been on 1024ADSL. Not that these figures would prove it. Maybe my time of testing is wrong, but surely I should see sometimes where it may approach the bought speeds. Never mind, I am saving all this for a small claims court lawsuit for fraud against Telkom's chief executive, because the service was not sold purely for local traffic to reach the promised speeds and best service effort does not mean that I can NEVER achieve what I paid for.

@Clipse any thing on your side, did You effect Your changes on 1 Oct ??
The Telkom speed tests never gives problems, Always give a high score, I for one do not trust them as they bypass all their shaping, cooking and cheating algorithms and run, I believe on a priority basis or port to con the poeple. Running tests or real downloads from other sites locally and internationally does not give the same constant results, unless I am on FreeVpn. This is why I believe Telkom is trying their utmost best to screw the public out of bandwitdh to sell to their corporate clients. Then they quote "Best effort" on queries and BS the public whenever they can. Their reluctance to make public the contention ratios is also making me believe there is a rotten cat in the cupboard.ernstn said:My downloads from the Telkom speed test are running perfectly though, when I try it. I would have thought that I would experience a similar problem with these downloads if there was a setting problem? I have also used dslreport.com 's recommended settings with no change in speed whatsoever. So I am reasonably convinced that it is Telkom doing it's best again to stu** everything
