I have some problems with my laptop connection to my wireless router. I have a dell latitude laptop (running Win XP), and a Billion 7300g router. The connection has been working fine until yesterday. I did install a few new applications (registry mechanic, mcafee virus), but everything was working after that (did a few reboots after the installation). I put the laptop on standby, couple of hours later nothing! I can see all the available networks from my laptop (has full strength), but when I click to connect to my network, it tries for a few minutes then just say "Unable to connect"
The software I use came with the dell, it is the Intel ProSet Wireless. Also, my desktop PC works fine (it is connected to the router via eternet port). I have WPA2 AES-CCMP security enabled. Funny thing is, when I disabled all security (made the router open), it did connect for a minute, but then dropped the connection again and I could not connect again.
Please help!
