Problems with WOW since Cataclysm

I am having the exact same problem that the OP described. But I'm using a WebAfrica unshaped account.

As far as I understand it's the way the packets are being sent since 4.0.1 it is seen as P2P packets and that gets throttled by South African ISP's to hell and back.

Blizzard states that they are collaborating with some ISP's to resolve the issue but unfortunately those are US ISP's.
 
It's very irritating, got dc'd 3 times yesterday while trying to do a HC. So after the 3rd time I just said sorry and left the group

Kindly note that we're aware of the current international ADSL speed issues and high latency our upstream provider will be increasing capacity in the near future. our server administrators and IS our upstream service provider are investigating as to the cause of high latency and some packet loss as there has been some issues on the IS network of late and will be looking into swift resolution to this matter.

Unfortunately we don't have an ETA on the upgrade; but we're looking forward to providing better international speeds.

WTF is wrong with Afrihost, they have a different answer to the issues for every customer. Below is the reponse to my ticket.

Kindly note that international connectivity is fine,although I have checked your aco**** and see that there are several port error's and session timeouts ,which are caused through static on your line. Please can you call Telkom and get them to re-port and re-sync your line and this should resolve your problem.
