Whilst it would be nice to have a vpn service bundled and all i don't think it's viable. It's a can of worms. A better solution would be to actually find a way to provide us with the same content LOCALLY, without ripping us off.
The reason why hulu is USA only is due to advertisements and obviously regional agreements. If DSTV paid ABC/Warner to air Dexter Season 4 here in SA , and ABC then goes and shows it on their website for free 6 months before DSTV even begun to show it....see the problem? (in fact that's exactly what is happening, hence why ABC also blocks us)
Now DSTV's on-demand service is already resembling hulu, unfortunately it cost R600 a month to use , minus the content that is found on Hulu. So in the end we have NO CHOICE but to resort to using VPNs/Proxies.
The VPN + Streaming from the USA [or UK for BBC for that matter] is not perfect either. It's slower and even then i'm not even sure these uncapped offerings can handle STREAMING since it's most likely shaped in some form too.
So to bundle a specific company's VPN service would be tricky in terms of support , and i'm sure MWEB will not like this at all considering they're trying to push their overpriced DSTV-on-demand thing.
