Profit is good

In a competitive environment, companies that turn big profits should be celebrated, Free Market Foundation co-founder Leon Louw has argued.

Agreed 100% the free market is life.

Consumers, must drive down prices. Vodacon is what Vodacon is, because of you Joe Consumer.

So "expert" Louw asks a few relevant questions, but if he wanted to be actually useful, he'd find answers to them - If arguing with libtards has taught me anything, it's that questioning the other sides arguments is most often nothing more than an attempt to spread FUD, and a sure sign that you've got nothing to back up your own argument.

He answers his own question:

“True competition is where there is contestability,” he said. Other players must be a realistic threat and be able to contest your market.

There is no "true competition" here because of the financial and regulatory barriers to entry, not to mention anti-competitive tactics from unethical incumbents and general inertia when it comes to switching carriers.

No "true competition", no fair pricing.
