Programme Not Starting Since Avg Installation

Hi

Need some advice please. I took the advice on this forum for efficient free anti-virus, firewall, etc. and installed AVG, AdAware and ZoneAlarm which appears to work perfectly.

Only problem I now have is that a programme I use to track share prices does not want to start up anymore. It is run in Windows 2000 compatibility mode and used to run well before I installed the anti-biotics mentioned above.

Anybody have any idea what causes it or what setting I must change? Please....

Thanks, but it does not update from the internet. It opens the window when double clicking the .exe file and then freezes.

Just thought I must post this in case somebody ever has the same problem:

It would appear that Nero Start Smart was the culprit. It prevented the setup.exe file from working (me knows not the details why). I uninstalled it and it worked again.

Hmmm, my Nero Start Smart isn't doing much except bugging me
