Proline UPS - Fault Code 1

Hi guys.

I have a Proline UPS sitting in a rack that is going nuts beeping with a Status "Fault Code 1".

I cannot find a manual anywhere and therefore have no idea what the thing is on about.

It's one of those split units with the battery on one side and the controller on the other which sits together when you use the rack mounting kit.

Hoping someone maybe has or had one of these and can help me out.

Have you tried Googling for the manuals? I know Proline is not a popular UPS brand, but they should have the manuals available online.

IMHO the problem here is that it is a Proline UPS in a server rack.

I would fire the person who bought that and put it in a server rack

have you had a look at Meissner UPs's as sometimes the Proline one is just as a rebadged Meissner

Yeah I figured it's just a simple rebrand so I'll have a look at that name you offered.

Can't find any model numbers or anything on it and this is the worst time of year to be dealing with a return/warranty.

I have figured out at least that if you disconnect the external battery section it still throws the error so it seems like what I thought was only the controller unit also has a battery inside or some such which is where the fault is occurring.

Nah it's a small setup and was doing the job just fine until now.
