I recently got a HDD that was flakey - but the very worse kind of flakey: Intermittently flakey so its not reproducible on demand. 
Esquire sends it back to Seagate...sure enough Seagate says the drive is fine.
So Esquire techs test it again & do find a fault. Its now going back to Seagate with documentation of the fault attached & Esquire says they'll get me a new drive.
Big thanks to Charlene & the techs for helping in a situation where most companies would just stick to the "Seagate says no faults" line.
