Unfortunately the Swedes did beat the Proteas 3 - 0 in the test match.

Bravado gaming did a lot better in the exhibition match.

However, a number of very important lessons were learnt for future team selection and for improving the entire standard of play in South Africa.

Not only that, but SK Gaming really enjoyed their stay out here and want to return.

Perhaps next time Africon will be done in Cape Town?

I can't understand why gamers play these old things, like Counterstrike & DoTA.

People move on!

Play the new stuff man, like COD4 and COD5 etc.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COD 4 was played at Africon!

The MSSA will be offering both COD 4 and COD 5 in its Online and LAN Championships in 2009.

Dota keeps getting updated, massive community and it's a "new" experience to a lot of folks that just found it. It's graphics also kinda stood the test of time to a degree.

The old ctrike on the other hand should just die already and become vaporware.
There's a reason why it went over to the half life 2 engine...

dota is highly addictive once you get the hang of the game.
