Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Dewald Brevis have been included in the Proteasā ODI squad for next monthās limited overs tour of Australia as the Proteasā preparation for the 2027 World Cup take another turn.
While Brevis was called up for the 2023 Australian inbound ODI tour before the World Cup, he didnāt get game time, having made his T20 debut on the same tour.
For Pretorius, his inclusion in the T20 side marks his meteoric rise in 2025 where, fresh from his barnstorming Test debut against Zimbabwe, he moved to the T20 side currently doing duty in Zimbabwe.
Pretorius churned out key runs for the Titans this season and was also the top run-maker in the 2025 SA20 where he played for Paarl Royals.
Dolphins spinner Prenelan Subrayen also earns himself a call-up for both the T20 and the ODI squads, having performed well in white ball cricket for his province.
Subrayen captained the Dolphins to their unlikely 1-Day Cup success when they beat the Titans in the qualifier at home, before they went on to triumph against Boland in the final in Paarl.
The teams will be led by Temba Bavuma (ODI) and Aiden Markram (T20) with the duo returning to action after missing the Zimbabwe tour through a hamstring injury for the former and rest for the latter.
A noteworthy omission is Reeza Hendricks, who has been dropped from the squad.
