There's going to be some maintenance work done on my property which involves replacing a front door, sanding and some general patching, and I'm worried about the dust it will kick up and the impact on electronics since it's happening by the living room. My TV is mounted (65" Samsung OLED) and isn't easily movable, so looking at ways to cover it, along with the soundbar and consoles. Was just going to get some light fabric or a black bin back to cover it up, but doing some reading you can easily scratch or cause static electricity. Any suggestions on what material to use to cover electronics up to avoid too much dust on them, and avoid scratches/static charges? Maybe if I can find some foam cover from a packaging company similar to what TVs are normally transported in might do the job. Or am I just being overly protective, and it isn't necessary?

Protecting TV & other electronics during building work/dust

I used those large cheap paint drop sheets to cover all furniture and electronics. Made sure everything was unplugged, then covered with old cotton sheets, then the drop sheets. Had no issues with static, etc.
For the mounted TV/soundbar, I used the 50mm blue painters tape to attach a suitable sized drop sheet section to the wall around the TV, covering it fully. No dust got in and the cotton sheet prevented any potential scratches.

Just put some sheets and/or blankets over the valuables OP mentioned. One can wash them afterwards.
