Protein supplements are really getting expensive. Does anyone know where I can buy decent protein supplemets for a good price? currently im buying at dischem here in pta, lynwood. And a 1kg pure protein jug cost about R220. i go through 2 of these every week/2weeks. looking to save a few bucks...

Can't you substitute a portion of your protein supplement intake with normal protein? I know whey has the highest biological value etc...but sure a bit of normal protein in between would also work? eggs, nuts, tuna etc

evox is worth the money though, its much much better than most of the other supplements out there.

dude. thats a lot of protein that you're wasting, unless you weigh like 140kg! the recommended intake for max gains is 2grams per kg per day, which includes your meals and supplements.

if you take even just half of that with a quality protein (NOT USN) you'll most probably find that you'll see better gains. USN uses a rough protein thats pretty big and hardly gets absorbed, compare it to evox and you'll see what i mean. the finer protein has a greater surface area, so not only does it get absorbed easier but also quicker.

where can I get pure Cassene.. that long release protein.. I dont want it mixed with other protein, I want that on its own?!!?!? Any leads?

dude if you cum to my house once a day i can give a protein shot for free :)

my fiancee is taking way more protein than she needs

Do you people use protein supplements because you're too busy to eat 3 balanced meals per day or are you just body builders? Unless you're either of the former two, you're
wasting your time with protein supplements.

PeterCH, I dunno what youve heard about protein, but it has substansial more benefits than only laying down building bricks for repair. Protein controls insulin, boosts metabolism, make u feel fuller for longer...its quite a long list.

3balanced meals is really not enough. When it comes down to mainting ure look, or trying to improve it, the optimal is eating EVERY 3hours. its just generally better. I eat at 7,10,1,4,(workouk out drink), 7-8ish, 10-11ish...

As for wasting protein, it really takes some substansial effort to do that. I mean eating 2g/kg is a bodybuilding requirement, and some studies indicate 2.5 - 3g had substansial gains. Protein goes to waste depending on ure body weight and activity level per day, and even then its good to get in a decent amount of protein.

enough rambling now :) i need protein and i need it cheaper! i bought a sack of protein from Optimum Nutrition for R1060. thats a 160servings of very good quality whey, consisting of hydrolosyte and isolate, giving 5.5g of BCAA'd per serving. Workout it out per tub and ull c its good value for money...

Sure you can, but having to eat every three hours is a bitch load of meat to prepare :) supplements are conveniant, and some brands pay very good attention to bodybuilding needs. Like Optimum Nutrition and Muscle Tech. Still freakn expensive. Evox tastes AWESOME!

Then grab some almonds at the local Fruit&Veg. Half a handful a day contains a fair amount of protein too. But that gets expensive too if one makes a habit of it like me and chows more than a handful per day.:o

Where can i get Evox or Biogen?? Every dam place sells crappy USN

biogen is usn with another label dont waste your money

dischem sells evox.. biogen too if you still want to go that route
