Sheesh they should come look at my area, we are consistently nagging for City Parks to come cut down grass, there are some places where the grass is over 2 meters high and it's near circles and such.
The pavements outside of properties don't get maintained and look like crap, there are massive trees that don't get pruned or trimmed, in fact they should just be cut down but yeah.
 
I haven't read a news report on News24 in more than a year. Everytime their popup about my adblocker comes up, I just close the site.
 
Why the Gautrain is on the outside of Alex remains a question when a lot of things happen

Why dont you simply maintain the property between your boundary wall and the road yourself ?

I do, but not all my neighbours do, there is also not a lot you can do besides the mowing of the lawn. We can't trim the trees which are causing issues as well.

I ripped up the lawn then laid stone and wood chip , granted it was only 2 by 20m and appears to be the norm in my neighbourhood other than mowed lawn.
The trees i trim as best as can with a ladder and extendable trimmers.
I simply stopped caring about trying to get a response and decided enough is aenough.

Contact your local FD and ask them if they could do a controlled burn of the veld as it poses a security risk.
They may be decent and comply.

City of Tshwane it's against by-law to trim the trees on pavement, only City of Tshwane may.

Our area seems well maintained. I can only imagine James or Natasha probably do it every other week.

City of Johannesburg as well, can't trim trees otherwise it's a R5000 fine. Even when we did get them to come trim the trees they did a half arsed job. The grass outside of the residents control is a constant struggle, we get told City Parks only gets a certain budget and it's all been used up. It's like wtf am I paying rates for?

Felling of trees i can understand but trimming ? thats effed up bureaucracy , while rates are just lining their pockets.
