Prototype

Don't...they will rape you with their logic;)

lol..... good one Look im not saying PS3 kicks A$$ just saying that for a machine that can be upgraded with hardware like pc it does pretty well on benchmark tests... Yeah maybe PC is better (hope no one sees that ) but you guys forget that you buying 4K graphics cards every year and a half
you changing your screens whenever the budget allows a bigger screen

For one online gaming in SA is pretty big on the PS3 side im not talking about lan gaming im talking online (ok except WOW ) but seriously thats another

We buy newer graphics cards, not because we necesarilly need it but really just because we can. My one friends has only an 512mb 8800gt and can manage to play pretty much every game out there at high, with the exception of crysis..but crysis well is an all together other story, what screens are concerned we tend to prefer playing on the same screens you guys do, full HD 42"or more...but unfortunately not all our budgets allow for it.
Guess each console device has it appeals, and for the real computer geek (reffering to myself I guess) there is the constant urge to upgrade theyre computer...but its not necesary because most games are designed first and foremost to be playable on the consoles meaning that the computer someone might have bought a year ago can still play pretty much every single game, and should continue to do so untill the xbox 720 or ps4 comes out...the games for windows thing also seems to be out with the drive to turn the pc in the a more standardised gaming platform..interesting days, pc gaming aint dying as was predicted years ago i will...just getting reborn!

prototype is truely a fun games, infamous looks interesting, but thats a ps3 game (wish it was on pc :( ), assassins creed is still my favorite sandbox game though, but if your into big moves, non stop action and a sht load of brutality you will prefer prototype the story also doesnt prove to shabby,my advice..buy it,all your friends will be talking about it at the next braai (assuming they are gamers)

It's available on PC.

The write up sounds good - anyone else been enjoying it?

EDIT: LoL my bad think you were making reference to infamous yeah?

Hmm just watched a Youtube vid.

Went off the scale on my lame-o-meter

Yep, I must say I quite dig prototype. story's good, gameplay's good, its not too open ended so you always know what to do and dont get lost in the massiveness of it (GTA4 was too much for my little head, the map was too expansive) You can get around the city fairly quickly, plus new york city, where the game is set, is just plain cool.
I'm actually not too dissappointed with the graphics although sometimes its nice to see a slight stutter in a game just to know its straining yr graphics card, no? Prototype could almost be played with onboard graphics...

I would LOVE to see you try:rolleyes:

Anybody having a problem with frame-rate drops (PC) , I have a GTX 260! and an E7400 and can run Crysis warhead perfectly with all settings enthusiast so wonder what the problem is. It is almost unplayable. every time I jump off a building and hit the ground it basically comes to a stop for about 3.5 seconds! I've tried disabling most of my HID devices and even when I put everything on the complete low it still happens...

yeah well its because you oaks are playing on PC

consoles dont have that problem

whatever poodle, my pc will p0wn your ps3 on every level...ps3 was awesome 2 years ago specs wise maybe but seriously not all that anymore, and no offence but the ps3's controller really really suck when compared to a the xboxs controller

That ends that.

Prototype is MUCH MUCH MUCH better then The Sims 3,trust me mate...be carefull, Prototype get addictive. lol..

strange, you say its addictive, I played it, enjoyed it,clocked it...but doesnt have any replay value for me whatsoever. but yes, was a nice game cant wait for the sequal (hopefully)

Overall I think Prototype was a good game, interesting story and the gameplay kept me playing several hours out of the storyline, just doing events and random slaughtering. I haven't played more after I finished the game though, but I enjoyed it while it lasted.
The graphics are just fine, nothing exceptional, but far from bad either and zero lag.
I gave it an 8 out of 10 on Gamespot.

As for Sims 3, I think it would have been a good game if it wasn't so buggy. My saves corrupted 4 times after playing for a couple of days, forcing me to restart everytime. You get tired of that in the end ;)

Oh, and PC over PS3 anytime :p
