I will be picking up my brand new Amarok Bi-Tdi D/C 4 Motion this afternoon!!

I simply cannot wait! I drove in a friend of mine's Amarok and I was very impressed with drive comfort and the all round finishing on the interior as well as the exterior of the vehicle. It doesn't drive like your typical bakkie it is well refined and as comfortable as any SUV I have driven in.

With some extras added it really looks good as well. Will post pics later.

Thanks! I am like a pimple face teenager waiting for his girlfriend on his first date... :D

I looked at the Ranger as well, must admit I wasn't really impressed with the interior. Also heard shocking stories about after sales service at Ford...

They are brilliant vehicles. No idea where the hate comes from :D

Jealousy? :D

I understand the initial trepidation around the 2.0 motors, but having had the privilege of putting the 'Rok and a fair few of its competitors through their paces on the same day really cemented how brilliant a vehicle it is.

Oh, congrats OP... I could've probably done you a better deal. :p

I seriously doubt it... ;) The problem wasn't the deal on the Amarok, but more with my current Tiguan - the settlement was a tad high.

Why did you get the chick car, you should have opted for the male car ... AMABROEK...
Yeah I know its lame but jealousy makes you nasty.

Enjoy

Between the rangers' drivetrain issues, the Hilux saftey issues, the Navaras' age, the NP300 ancientness and the GWM questionableness I think the OP made a very informed decision.

TL;DR Happy miles!!
