Well, it's been a few days without reboot, so safe to say the Host CPU type was the culprit.
You know what that means? Optiplex 3000 Thin Clients for sale!
At least now I know the hardware is OK, which means I can safely pass it along to the next homelabber. I have my eyes set on consolidating my services so I am going to grab an ASRock Deskmini X300w once I sell the two thin clients.
Hi, I'm PhireSide, and I have a homelab upgrade addiction

Backups? Does it at least boot to the grub rescue screen? My OMV VM crapped the bed when i upgraded from 7 > 8 - my disks show up but my EXT4 file system is missing :-|
Even edited the conf file to change the UUID but nothing is working - admittedly i haven't tried too hard - but yeah very frustrating.
It boots all the way to the UI - just no sight of the EXT4 file system :-|Backups? Does it at least boot to the grub rescue screen?
