Proxy Server

Yes. I can host this in SA but would have to bill everyone that use it to cover the high bandwidth charges. Popular websites like Facebook and Myspace are also hosted in the States. It does not really matter where the service is hosted though.

You sir are a gentlemen and a scholar. Any chance of a port based proxy i.e. squid or the like?

This proxy server should work for websites that is blocked on networks with squid or the like. For example if your employer blocks facebook on their network but you can access other websites then proxyplus should be able to help you access facebook. ;)

I wonder how effective this will be against something like Websense...

That is why I said that you have to test it and let me know. If required, I'm willing to setup a different domain without the word "proxy" in it. Let me know.

Some guy made a proxy and he was using it for gathering bank details etc.... it was covered my mybb.

I hope they catched the damn thief!

I wasn't aware that someone abused a system like this in the past. I've created this service merely to enable users to access blocked websites like Facebook or Myspace from their work network. Some companies have a very strict (and unfair) policy for socializing type of websites. Even some schools. Now at least students can use Facebook when their teachers are boring them to death :D

Can you perhaps post a link to the scam you have mentioned?

Any proxy server that uses content filtering and is half decent will eventually block the site as proxy avoidance or something similar.

Doesn't work well, when using in I.E or Firefox, shows the Cpanel thingy (when setup in browser, with port 80). I was hoping to use it for the free internet, others just disconnect (when downloading) and don't support download resume.
Chinagrows.com and sneakme.net still the best for this job.
