Ok, so before you flame and get irritated... yes if it should be in general gaming, Mods please move. But seeing as it is a console i thought it should be here.

Ok, i'm looking at making my last purchases of PS2 games.

I'm thinking - FFX-2, FFXII, Killzone and RE4 (all at about R560 not bad hey ;))

I already have Rogue Galaxy, POP trilogy, GOW, ***** load of fighting games, Black and Jak1

So, knowing this, are these wise last buys???

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a cube or wii rather get resi4 on one of those platforms as the graphics are far superior to the PS2 version.

thanks. Unfortunately don't have any other console than PS2. I have heard that RE4 is better on Gamecube, but what can you do?

Well the last few I bought before retiring my PS2 were as follows:
- God of War II
- Shadow of the Colossus (severly underated imo)
- Final Fantasy XII
- Resident Evil 4
- Onimusha 4
- FullMetal Alchemist: Curse of the Crimson Elixir

Enjoyed all of those thoroughly :)

Thanks, Iwojima. Have heard about SoTC and how good looking it is (well, for PS2 standards in any ways) but can't find it anywhere in stock!!

Dont bother, cr@p game- thing is theres more people that would put the game down than there are those who would recommend it- thats never a good thing:cool:
The kingdom hearts 1 and 2 have been left out here- personally spent a couple hundred hours on them, visual masterpieces!:o
Oh yeah, then i see that Kalahari.net have just dropped the price of the game Okami, that game smacks of originality, very decent purchase indeed :)

Ahhh Final Fantasy XII... I get a heartbroken feeling everytime I hear that title... I bought it too close to the end of my PS2 lifetime for R560.. got an XBox 360 too soon and the PS2 had to go, more importantly FFXII had to go and I didnt get a chance to finish the game.

Got R70 for it at Cash Crusaders :(

But still, what a game!

Mind you, I had FFX and FFX-2 as well and didnt complete those either :P

You may not enjoy it, but it is far from being crap. Every person I've spoken to who has played it says the same thing: Great gameplay/visuals, but a bit let down by the story (or lack of)

Thanks guys. Snakepit, will look into KH1 and KH2 and possibly Okami as well. Much appreciate everyone on all the feedback. It is either today or Saturday i make the last purchases. Play for 2 - 3 months solid and finally retire the old warhorse!!!

All awesome games imo, worth getting them all.
Pick up any Final Fantasy that you can - they all worth a play even FFX-2.
Sotc is one of the games where you are hooked from word go.
Okami is is a must get, very innovative and great visual style.
A classic and forerunner of sotc is iko, it is classic and very very rare, if you have the chance to buy it, grab it!

Funniest thing was i enjoyed the story the most aboot the game:rolleyes:
I didnt relish running around looking for das monsters:p

I had it and was a bit dissapointed with the battling system. It came across very dated.
Grandia 2 was a much better.
The synth mini-game by creating new weapons through the frog was moot as you were able to buy the latest weapons any case.

It is not bad and it filled a gap.

Playing through rogue Galaxy now, I have to be careful or I'll play till dawn
Cally
Indiana Personal Injury Attorney

Now this game totally rocked, the way of customising the weapons andd trapping the bugs and having them battle each other, levelling up was fun, the characters were well thought up, kept me mentally occupied from beginning to end, nice one:)
