Just a question 2 the guys that are still using the slim ps2. explain this to me? i have a couple(actually alot) of burned ps2 games which i play with my modded ps2, but recently i found that these are playing on my 2 non-modified ps2`s. tried a friends and a couple of other dude`s and guess what? all the burned copies plays on their machines.
they all bought their machines new

so hows this possible?
no free mcboot memory card hack, mod-chip, swap discs, etc...nothing,
but still it plays.
all the games were burned using dvd decrypter

so my question again is how`s this possible?

only answer is they bsing you and their ps2's are modded,

nope, its not modded.
i bought mine from game new, still plays
can pop a disc in now nd it will play, the same with my buddy`s(still new)
he tried it on couple of his friends nd it plays also, no tricks

I got mine when a friend when to France and I gave him money to buy me one. It played all copied games without having to chip it.

Really don't know how this would be possible... Really cool though!! (Maybe hand some of those games my way?!) :)

Sounds weird. Everything out their indicates that self-boot is not possible.

I bought one just to play FF but never tried putting copied games in. Gonna do it now!
