Considering you got a 5yo the wii is much better buy

Rather get a Wii.

He is looking for something cheap. The kinect alone, without a 360, is more expensive than the Wii.

+1 Get a second hand Wii, they can be picked up for cheap. New Wii will be out in less than a year then buy that one.

My son, who's now 6, became so accustomed to to teh Xbox controller at age 5 that even I was shocked. Now he plays in Fifa tournaments with the rest of us. His skill level not that great, but his controller skills are up there with the rest of us.

Don't underestimate a 5 year old.

Buy the Xbox instead is my opinion.
