I must say though that it's tough getting used to the PS controller again, especially with first person shooters.
How do I know when the controller is fully charged? I see the "1" on the controller blinking, assuming when it stops it's fully charged?

The young one can't be hampering you that much! I have no young one & haven't touched the PS3 (game side) for more than a month. Haven't (can't) gotten off the boat on Drake's Fortune:o

Congrats, you should also look at joining www.ps3za.co.za , guys sell their second hand stuff there and always give good advice with games.

Yes, when you hold the ps button it will also indicate in top right hand corner a battery bar.

I know what you mean regarding the young one's especially if you only have 1 LCD to game on!

Which games for PS3 are good online? Ive been playing MW2 on PC for a while, thought ill get it on PS3. How about resistance? Hows Bad Company 2 on PS3 online? :D
 
Uncharted 2 and GTA IV are both fun online. Demons Souls is a great ps3 exclusive, well worth checking out.
 
The only decent series on PS3 as said somewhere above is uncharted, reason enough to buy the PS3 just for them.
Dont waste time on the killzones, total rubbish, and FPS on PS3 is crap compared to Xbox.
God of War 3 is not too shabby, really great graphics, and if you play on hard, will keep you going for a while.
Can't wait for uncharted 3, PS3 has been shelved and gathering dust for a few months, just nothing to do with it for now :(

Care to explain your reasoning for FPS are crap on PS3 compared to XBOX as they both use joy sticks?
How you been watching the Killzone 3 with move enabled controllers?
 
The Move controllers must make FPS on console actually decent. Will something I try after Heavy Rain move edition.

So according to you, mgs4 and resistance is a waste of time? I'm enjoying Killzone 2 and loving mgs4; quite ironic. But what about everything else? Red Dead Redemption? etc etc.

Resistance was pretty bad when you compare it to Gears of word.If you are a MGS fan then get it its really not bad at all.
If you are into westerns then you would like it, but if you expecting a western with a grand theft then stay away.
Have a peek at infamous or better yet go to btgames and get game rental for R100 a month, suits your pocket and atleast you get to try titles.

I'm not looking to compare anything, just wanna try some new games. By the way, what's a western with a grand theft? Oh you mean a western game with grand theft auto, or you mean stealing (grand theft)? Confusing structure there. I know what to expect of RDR, it's not GTA but it uses the same concept and yet still very different.

If your not comparing anything then ok.
Same development team , stealing horses, pushing people around in town, 3rd person view.I dont know i got the game and it feels just too empty, sure you can go hunting but thats it really.

In KZ2 that "difficulty" was deliberate and unique. You will get used to it, it's that 'heavy feel" everyone is talking about. I love KZ2, online is superb and very realistic. In KZ3 the shooting are much easier, I know for a fact as I played the open beta since release to end.

Oh yeah congrats on a wise choice. PS3+KZ2, get KZ3 asap. Enjoy.

You really do not have a clue about utilizing the PS3? As for KZ been rubbish, where did you read that info, have you seen the pre-order stats for KZ3? Have you ever played KZ2? The only reason FPS must be better on the Xbox is because it's maybe made to be so easy. No real skill required?
