PicknPay most of the stores sold out - this is confirmed.

However the as per word from higher up - PicknPay buyers are busy engaging the PS3 local supplier about obtaining more stock.

In the meantime , can anyone get a copy up of the picknpay advert please, please

its the 120gb slim console and 1 controller only, no bundled games

I made them check barcodes, and they are different. Damn.

One can only hope!

damn, would have picked one up as well but just called my closet hyper and they dont have any stock damn damn damn damn:twisted:

went to hyper market at princess crossing.. they had loads of stock !

As per Vercogen's idea, I took the article from lazygamer as well as the number for Pick & Pay Hypermarket in Klerksdorp (They still have stock!) and went to my local game.

The first game only had the bundled package which makes it a different item. So I had them phone the 2nd game in our area to confirm stock on the base 120gb model...went over there, asked to see the stock first (before they try hide it and pretend to only had bundles) then asked if they offer pricebeat - when the guy said yes, I whipped out the advert with Klerksdorp's number on. He was shocked to say the least.

Long story short, I now have a PS3 slim 120GB console for the low low Price beat amount of R2149. Since game couldn't just match the price, they were forced to beat the difference by 10% :D

Princess Crossing says they have no stock left

Problem is also - most of the stores had between 5-10 units in stock and that was it - pnp had no more than that

p.s. I dunno why I am all so wanting one, I already have a phat 160gb, oh well. here ends my quest for a slim

Sweet

What are other places charging for one.

I got one... at Dion Wired yesterday! :D

After a HUGE fight with them regarding their "beat any price" policy and them lying about having no stock, I walked out with a brand new PS3 for R2299!

'grats to everyone else who also got hold of one! The whole Jo'burg seems to be sold out already.

Part of my problem is: I often do this to my local Game. The sales people spot me and they all run and hide. :D And off course they all tell me they don't have stock. :(

But, it seems as though I'll be getting a PS3 for R2299. Will report back later tonight if I in fact have it in hand.

i smaak this game thing. i wonder if the game stores in cape town know about this

Dont think theres any stock in jhb.. Tried calling most of the pnp hypers :(

Call PnP's head office, find out where there's stock, go to Game / Dion Wired, show them the ad from yesterday's newspaper, tell them where there's still stock and demand them to beat the price.

They have to, it's their policy... :D
