PS3 Hardware Cost

I have a console worthwile to replace the Xbox with. Its called a PS2 and still sells like hotcakes as compared to the Xboxes.

Eat that and cramp.

This thread is an interesting read :D And having read a lot of it i have to agree with timgauls points here.

Then there is the point of running codec’s natively (hardware) Why would this be a problem? No Problem The PS3 is just better and own the most inherently. You have to use free 3rd partu software to make the Xbox work 100% The PS3 have all these functions build in and acts both as server and client effectively without the additional software.

Wwell when facts is presented the Bots refuse to read it. Most of their technical abilities sees to be more suspect than I thought. Do not know much about hardware or anything. Just games, pixels and FPS.

PS: Sorry I forgot the usual modus operandi, the swearing, naming and neckjerking out of context.

Glad you asked. Let’s try and explain.

I am in the market for both. Joined up to get expert advice and see what to go for and stumbled on a small group of Ex-sperts apparently called bots with total disregard and total lack of understanding about hardware concepts and technology giving ex-spert advice to why everyone must dish PS3 and go for the cheap XBox. No real reasons but a lot of thumb sucks and arguing about everything anybody post or comment for the PS3. They have no respect and total disregard for valid opinions. Cannot debate or answer questions just name and swear at other posters?

Why can't everyone just be happy with what they have - be it a PS3 or a 360 - and stop trying to convince everyone else that their console is better.


...or better yet, just get a PC. :D

Those links you gave was for the yearly sales and the stats given by Tim were for the Japan weekly sales. PSP's went through the roof and PS3 slumped to all time low, possibly due to the newly expected Ps3 package deals expected in November. We will have to wait and see. The PS2 sales were not bad at all for an old Gen, defunct system. :D Total Sony sales; well let me not add fuel to the fire.
