PS3 Slim + HDMI-CEC

My remote's navigation pad works, so I can do up, down, left, right, OK and Exit.

My Samsung remote does that too, and I think it works on play, but not the stop button or the pause button, I have to go check again but it was something like that.

a bit disappointing for me...
doesnt work fully with my lg simplink - can turn on and off, but nothing else
and when i press the simplink button on the remote it says to check connection

but i might be selling my tv and getting one with better support

Wow, don't you think that's over-reacting?

Maybe you just need to tweak some settings.

lol, not really
im getting the same amount of money i paid for it if i do sell it

i doubt its any of the settings from the tv
i think maybe a ps3 firmware update could prob sort it out
but who knows

Well I dunno... A firmware update that made it work for you might break it for me :p

Sell the TV and buy a Sammy :)

looking now for either sony or sammy, esp now that they both have 3yr warranty thing

leaning more towards this one tho

That IS nice... But for the price, I'd rather go with a Series 6 Sammy. It just LOOKS better. Plus it's 100Hz. And although it's probably more expensive, it's not THAT much more expensive.

But in the Sony's defense, the XMB would just be super awesome :) And the integration with the PS3 would be that much better with a Sony TV.

Can the ps3 phat ever become CEC capable (im thinking never)? What's the hardware that makes this functional? Just curious coz I was hoping my phatty would be able to be controlled but alas...
