Ps3/telkom Routers Help!!!

Family friends going to be paying me to setup ps3 with their wifi connection/marconi/mega100 router (not sure which one they have, old or new etc hence i mentioned both).

Now the problem or as it sounds over the phone is the fact that the ps3 flatout rejects the wep key or mac of the ps3, not sure which one as I didnt setup the router/havnt been to scope it out. I advised them if its a hex key to use 0 instead of O as thats a common mistake, but meh no luck, so I'm assuming the IT techie who set this up added some sort of mac filtering, will take a look.

Is there anything else I should be aware of when setting up the router for the ps3 and vice versa?

I have a Netgear DG834G and i had serious issues connecting PS3 wirelessy. Basically it was down to my router's firmware and a firmware downgrade resolved the issue, so wifi works great.

But its always best to assign the PS3 a static IP and i always prefer manually inputting the internet connection settings on my wifi devices (ie. psp). But try www.ps3za.co.za coz a few ppl over there should have some of the routers you mentioned.

Hmmm.... My Marconi router works like a dream... punched in the 26 letter code (2 hours later) it was working

set it up bridged with WEP TKIP Key and input username and password in router for ps3 to connect directly...telkom router works awesomely
