Hey, I want to play two players on PS3. :erm:

Do any of you guys know what games are out there for the PS3?
Something other than fighting games such as soul caliber or Mortal combat etc... street fighter 4 etc...

Its kind of hard to find a game that actually supports two players.

Yap, my second remote is gathering dust cause of this, basically only sport games i've been able to play two players.

Same problem for PC or Xbox... game developers just don't do this anymore and its crap! Sucks the fun out
Edit: Or they assume gamers dont have friends which might be true in some cases

And even if it does state 2 players (e.g. COD), is it over the net, or on the same console?

Who is the second player going to be?
Helps with what kind of game to look at.

Yeah there is definitly a lack of 2 player games
Ones I have found:
Rainbow Six Vegas1 &2; Army of Two; Need for speed prostreet;Tekken 6; Resistance;Tony Hawks Proving ground, Resistance, lego Star Wars, GT5, Crash Team Racing, Super Stardust, Calling all Cars, Rocket Man (pants), Marvel ultimate alliance, Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom(really good in co-op) Fight Night
And the best of all Resident Evil 5

Almost any sports game i'd think.

FIFA [Soccer],MLB [Baseball] ,NHL [Ice Hockey] , Fight Night [Boxing], Tennis / Basketball ???

There's also the Guitar Hero/Rock Band Games, which definitely allow the COOP type play i.e "one guy play guitar and another play drums" thing....

I'm sure there's a few COOP/Multiplay shooters too? Killzone ? Or do you need to connect to an online server with that?

I guess oyu need to read the fine print to see if it requires you to connect online to a server or whether you can play it split screen/coop screen . I guess one criteria to check is how many controllers you require, sometimes it will say "require 1 or 2 controllers" , which would indicate some form of local multiplay.

EDIT: Some of the Car/Racing games surely got local multiplayer? I could swear i played one of those Colin Mcrae Rally games on splitscreen...

My favourites:

Fifa 10
Pro Evolution Soccer 2010
Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (Although I think there may be a new one out)
Tekken series
Crash Team Racing (downloaded from PSN)
Atomic Bomberman (downloaded from PSN)
Six-Axis Bowling (downloaded from PSN)

Thanks - I hardly ever get to play unless its 2P. In fact my PS3 is packed away in its box, for almost 2 months now.

It says LittleBigPlanet - I never had a co-op option in LBP?

Thats strange... you sure? I dont own a PS3 but I almost always check out that site before buying a game and they've never been wrong.

Maybe you have to update it over PSN first to get the latest updates or something

Yeh - might need an update - cept all my updates time out for some reason. Damn annoying.
