PS3 vs. Blu-Ray HiFi ??

PS3 + Logitech Z5500's = Pure awesomeness!

Yes, I know it's not in the budget. :)

I've always wondered how good they really are. I guess a good measure is the fact that it's only really the PC guys raving about them. I don't see audiophiles raving about them. If my Z2300's are anything to go by, I can understand. 90% of people would love the sound they make (bass heavy). :p

... also - don't the PC guys have these things sitting about 1 meter away from their ears at all sides - and in generally a smaller room?

Maybe they're not as fantastic when in a larger lounge at 2m away ....

They're loud - lot's of bass but not much else. I'm not going to say that they're bad since they do have a use for PC guys - although you can tell that it's been designed for PC by the wired remote :D

The z5500 have a normal wireless remote and are a tad bass heavy but can be tone down. One day when wife is off maternity leave going to replace them with the okyno set.

Lets say you already have a PS3, what would be the best way to add Receiver / speakers for R3000 without duplicating the blu-ray? A friend has the Samsung set and it sounds great for the money, but I feel it's pointless to spend money on something that has offers a blu-ray when I have it in the PS3..
