PS3 vs XBOX360

I think I'm going to buy that 250GB Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle. Was chatting to a friend who has a flashed Xbox 360 and got jealous. The dude has over 80 games, none of which are legit. I'll use my PS3 for the amazing games that I want online play for or that aren't available on Xbox, like Red Dead, NHL 11, Tekken 6, LittleBigPlanet, GT5, Uncharted, Bad Company 2 etc., and get pirated copies of every other game for Xbox 360. Also, that Your Shape: Fitness Evolved game for Kinect looks pretty sick. This should save me stacks of money in the long term...

Hopefully the PE WUG will have loads of Xbox 360 games available when I finally get around to connecting to it.
 
Gosh darn it....This thread has gone and confused me. Im stuck between the Xbox and PS3

First things first - I dont care for Bluray or motion controllers

I had my heart set on an Xbox mainly because of the price, xbox live and the better controller but the exclusives of the PS3 are just that much better. IWould you say the PS3 has more hack and slash/RPG/adventure type games. The dude at BT games said that Xbox comes out tops with RPG games but I thought otherwise.

Would you say that in future the PS3 is dedicated to releasing more adventure/RPG games and the Xbox more FPS games? Like I said, I love the look of the current PS3 exclusives but what does the future have in store for both the Xbox and PS3?

So to sum it up:
-I want adventure/RPG games
-Which has better exclusives coming up in 2011?
-Which would be best for me considering the above.

One thing that helped me decide was specific titles. i knew which titles I couldn't compromise on not having (MGS4 was one) and so went the ps3 route.
You can get that info for future games too, so just check up. If the release list is largely the same for both, then you can count this metric out.
 
After posting I did a quick google search and realised that the exclusives list for the PS3 was much larger and seems to be better for 2011. Xbox really seems to be lacking.

I guess ill be getting the PS3 then. Too bad about the Xbox controller and the ZA XBL...would have loved it...
 
No wonder the PS3 sales are looking good. After all the dust has settled it seems like most defaults to the PS3 at the end of the day.

You won't regret it. I also bought a ps3 quite recently. God of War, Uncharted, MGS4, WipEout HD, Flower and ModNation Racers are amazing. 7 of my 13 ps3 games are exclusives, and I wouldn't want to part with any of them.

Exclusives still to come out that will own hard: GT5, LittleBigPlanet 2, Killzone 3, MotorStorm: Apocalypse, Resistance 3, ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Sly Cooper Collection, The Last Guardian, Agent, inFamous 2, Uncharted 3 and Twisted Metal. Mass Effect 2 is finally coming to ps3 and it will have exclusive content. 2011 is going to be big for Sony. Kinda feel sorry for Xbox gamers who are going to miss out on all that.

Don't fret about the online. PSN has worked perfectly for me since day one, and of course it's free.

The dude at BT Games was lying. If you're into hack 'n slash and adventure games, you won't find better than God of War, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Uncharted 1 & 2 (all of which are exclusive). For RPG you've got the standard multiplatform titles like Fallout, Dragon Age, Borderlands, Valkyria, FF etc and Demon's Souls, which is a pretty awesome exclusive RPG.
 
For the hack and slash RPG, the only option is Deamon souls. It'll break you and by extension your controller, but you'll stuggle to find a title as good as this on any console/system
