yeah, bad company and MOH rock on pc, especially for multiplayer
 
Both have their pros and cons. I prefer the PS3 - more versatile, and has way better exclusives (for me).

Bottom line is:

Real gamers get PS3's
Pseudo gamers get 360's.

Search [-]google[/-] these forums, read all the debates/arguments, look at the images/videos and make up your own mind...but yeah general consensus is that Xbox runs multiplats better

How is Kinect treating you?

One game alone pawns the entire 360 library for me, Demons Souls.
Nothing on the 360 comes close, also your library has been looking rather dull for the past 2 years now.
But then again you just a WoW troll looking to bring back the old days we had on here :D

Kinect is awesome! I've been playing everything on the 360 so much better than the PS3 move :twisted: /facepalm

Our library isn't dull, at least I've been pre-occupied on my 360 :)

How is Demons Souls, all i've read/heard is that it's soul-torturingly masochistic! Gotta get my hands on it at some point

Demons Souls is pure awesome, I'd recommend to any RPG fan and I know you will enjoy it.
Buy yourself a PS3 for that game alone it is THAT good

Lol, I'm not touching Kinect with a 10foot pole... Lost interest in the Wii after a week, Kinect/Move are the same just with shinier graphics :rolleyes:

Downloaded the trial version of the WOW client (21GB download OMFG!) and busy giving it a bash. Any tips on this game. Seems I need to use battle ping to be able to play with decent latency.
Will decide closer to the end of the trial whether or not to buy the full battlechest package incl WOTLK.

Okay after just leaving this thread for a few days it went booming with views and comments. I will admit I did kind of know that was going to happen...hence the thread title :P
But I'm going to let you guys in on what I decided. So after this post if a moderator could be so kind as to please lock the thread, because my question has been answered :)

This is what i have decided and have been advised on:

GET BOTH CONSOLES!!!

I would if a had the money to, but I unfortunately do not. What I also realised was that and that was even when i didn't listen to any opinions that:

PS3 is more multimedia
XBOX is more gaming

Both can do what the other does, some things just better than others. It really is just personal preference.

You can argue about which console has what game titles but the fact still stands the games I liked leaned more towards xbox.
Also when i played on each console i felt more comfortable with the xbox control.
Like some have said, the transition from pc to xbox feels much more comfortable due to their close relationship (Microsoft).
I would love to have a PS3 as well as a XBOX. but thats not going to be possible so i need to choose just one for now.

As for online experience, i have no idea how they feel since i don't know any online console players personally, but i don't want to pay to play online like xbox.
Thats were PS3 is better for me. But since my initial need for a console in the beginning was to play games and for it to be mobile (PC just isn't that easy to take everywhere)
I will probably settle for XBOX. Also because if i am planning on moving it around it won't really matter about online gameplay since i don't have connection everywhere i go.

Also i can use my XBOX controllers on my PC as well. so FOR ME xbox is the best option.

Both systems can stream media.

Cost of Ownership - I find that PS3 games are somewhat more expensive, even 2nd-hand and not so widely available. Xbox games are like those crack-a$$ h0es at the corner of the streets of Sunny Side. The PSN is free, Live isn't. Xbox HDD are more expensive than going out to buy a generic 2.5" HDD for your PS3. The rest is more/less on par.

Exclusivity/Gaming experience - Appreciate the fact that both companies are going to try outdo each other when it comes to this dept. and both have released some good titles. Tekken & MGS used to be exclusive to PS3 but are now also on Xbox, with ME2 on Xbox going to PS3. Tried the Move once and it was pretty cool, but no different from the Wii(at least that's how it felt). Haven't tried the Kinetic so can't say if that's any better.

All in all, I'd say follow your gut. Try/borrow and see what you like. I'm an Xbox owner and have played on the PS3 quite extensively(learnt it once from a friend when he went overseas for a good 6months). Currently, my Xbox is at my nephew's place, my PC rig is sitting there with like 1 or 2 games(that I never play) and I'm thinking of buying a PS3 and turn it into a media center(instead of building an HTPC). Just listen to your heart my son...listen to your heart....

You can use Xbox controllers on ps3 like i said so seems you want PS3 if its just controllers swaying your decision :)
 
I'm a PS2 owner, so it just screams "attention" when someone states they prefer the ps3 controller over xbox 360. What a joke. The PS3 gamepad have absolutely nothing over the 360 gamepad. If you think it does,simply stop playing games, pls. Not everyone is supposed to be playing video games.

I promise you, some time down the line, you WILL thank me.

THEY need you.

Yep but has nothing to do with systems since controls are interchangable so if he gets PS3 he wont regret it
