PS4 jailbreak

That site seem very outdated.

Currently there's no working jailbreak for 6.xx availble to the public, however some exploit was discovered recently on all hardware revisions of the PS4 which requires some hardware modding or "chip" as per wololo.

--still early stages for this, I won't keep my hopes up yet for anything available to the public soon
The site does refer to firmware 6.xx so abit confused

Have you tried it?

What firmware are you running?

Strange...I haven't payed R1000 for any game.

If you do it's because you have FOMO and can't help yourself.

Pirating it is really not the answer.
I agree but when titles are 900-1k on release at retailers for ps4 there is going to be a market for jailbreaking. I'm happy to wait for the price to drop even though I play on PC.

Exactly that. I've given in to FOMO more times that I'd like to admit, RDR2 being the latest but its not only that, there are games that I really look forward to, been waiting months and even years. Two examples of those are, The Last of US 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. I'll get those on day 1 and I don't care about price.

I wait because of price, but also for all the patches so that I can play the best version of the game. Even the best releases will have some issues that are fixed in patches.

Speaking of patches, do you get the automatic updates as well when you install pirated games on a jailbreaked PS4?

I would trade my games on SAGamer for half of what I payed to help other gamers.

Thats true and again I'll take RDR2 as an example . . . one of the best open-world games to come out since The Witcher 3 but has quite a few bugs and glitches. It doesn't however take anything away from how fantastic this game is.

Digital for PlayStation in SA is sadly a utter **** show.

Xbox and Switch understand the market and price accordingly.

Would he get a Chinese clone of a handbag?

Hahaha, I was just making a joke based on the good old advert --->

Games are crazy expensive, if it wasn't such a mission to jail break a PS4, and maintain the jail break to play online, I'd do it too.

That's one of the reason I appreciate PC games and Steam. Only thing that makes it expensive is the ZA currency. With steam winter/summer/spring.autumn sales you get great prices on game. There are the one or two that is always expensive (call of duty, GTA etc.) but most are affordable , some times you just need to wait a bit. No reason to pirate games anymore.

Just buy the game dude on sale or 2nd hand.. Not worth the sometimes 100GB+ download for AAA games, hassle and effort to get games working.

Enjoy your gimped system with no online functionality... or just get a pc instead and buy games for super cheap

I did this with my ps3.It was cool but then I realised I enjoyed mp and trophy hunting,so I managed to get it undone.

So you wont be able to play online, are you ok with this?

Its a very attractive thing to do with a console if you getting it for smaller children, because the person that does this usually has a HDD with about 200 games on it and he will sell you a game for R20,so it works out for that purpose, but if you are a semi serious gamer then this is only a temp fix, meaning you will have to seek out and find a cracked FM when Sony evetually catches up.

Don't sony also control the version by running a game? i.e. having to update PS4 OS in order to play a newly released game?

Yes, the other thing is that he will never be able to update all his games. So you are pretty much stuck with a single player non updateable game, which isnt good because most if not all games launch with bugs.
