PS4 vs Xbox One

Makes you wonder though. Now that consoles are on x86 architecture, it's actually a viable thing to do, assuming they tay with x86 going forward(which is likely).

Would fix the backwards compatibility issues of consoles as well.

Only barrier would be consumers that expect consoles to be just plug and play.

MS managed to get backwards compatible right though. Granted you have to "download an xbox" for each game, which is about 500MB, it works great...

I wouldn't mind the consoles being modular so you can upgrade. It's the next logical step.

That would increase production cost for starters so even the bottom range will cost more than a non-modular bottom range one with the same specs.

Anyway what you propose already exists, it's called a PC :p

True but I don't like dragging my PC to the living room. Sounds like a 747 taking off

Can it play the latest games?

Either:

a) Make your main PC quieter with a better case, water cooling and bigger fans

or

b) Use a little quiet computer such as an HTPC or laptop and stream your games from your main PC to your lounge over LAN

Profit.

To much logic here

I highly recommend one of these as well:

PS4 Charging Station (PS4)

Hey buddy how you doing ?

i got one of those and the 3m charging cable and to be honest i use the charging cable more frequently
the charging dock is a bit awkward with that adaptor but a must have if you play costantly with two or more people but if its just one then i'll say just go for the 3m charging cable.
