PS5

So they’re re-releasing the re-released MGS games so you can buy them a third time. I guess it’s been an Xbox and PC exclusive until now.

Huh? Those were PS1 & 2 games if I'm not mistaken

The Master Collection includes:

  • Metal Gear Solid (PS1)
  • Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2)
  • Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2)
I mean you can emulate all three on Series S and X right now, but they were unavailable on PS5?

There was also a PS3 version: https://www.pushsquare.com/games/ps3/metal_gear_solid_hd_collection

The HD collection was a remaster on last generation consoles already that’s what he means.

If this is just another upgrade it will suck.

It needs to be a full engine rebuild of every game.

I understand that and even linked the HD collection in my post, I was more confused about the exclusivity part of his post...but apparently emulation counts :p

No no, there was some weirdness like it was available on Xbox One but not on PS4 or some such.

I was just making it clear those were just graphic pack upgrades.

They should remake the first one, that would be cool.

I thought that’s what the Master Collection, but seems that is indeed just a re-release for PS5.

MGS3 was my favourite of the lot so I’m happy with a full remaster.

Have you seen M1 and M2 CPUs? stuff is more efficient these days, dramatically so, stuff doesn't draw lots of power like back in the 1920s when you were in your 30s.

Compared to the PS5 and XBOX Series X, the M2's gaming performance looks like it's from back in the 1920s (when Sauron was in his 30s)
