Agreed and that bump on the disc version looks so out of proportion and unappealing.

Not much of a "Slim", this is what the phat PS5 should of been like at launch.
The slim should of been smaller.
Sony made (requested) some tweaks and designed the now redundant storage drive.
Yeah agreed, still looks ugly af and unnecessarily big (I say this as ps5 owner who plays pretty much every day)
Each to their own mate. I'm not its biggest fan; just looks so out of place on any wall unit imo. But like I said, I still love it for its intended purpose; no real complaints there.Lies. The PS5 is beautiful. Especially the DE.

It’s a semi-custom design from AMD. Sony made (requested) some tweaks and designed the now redundant storage drive.
Not a criticism of Sony really, just their chassis guy.
Sure but have you seen its competition ?
I have the Series X too and it's a brick. No flow, just function.
And when you put it horizontally, it looks even more out of place because the bottom rubber stand doesn't detach and the Xbox logo doesn't rotate so you're left with it looking like it fell over.
I'm gonna laugh if the MS leaks were true and the next XSX refresh is a trash can that you can't put vertically. Who's copying Apple now?
It was designed and manufactured specifically for the PS5 to have high read speed, but it was only required for launch because there are off the shelf drives with the same capabilities now. What is redundant about the storage drive?
Wall unit? I thought those went out of style in the 80's.Each to their own mate. I'm not its biggest fan; just looks so out of place on any wall unit imo. But like I said, I still love it for its intended purpose; no real complaints there.
What nonsense. It was an SSD that put that of the Xbox competition to shame, and then it took a year or two for OEM manufacturers to catch up.It was designed and manufactured specifically for the PS5 to have high read speed, but it was only required for launch because there are off the shelf drives with the same capabilities now.
I'm not quite sure why the Xbox fanbois keep on trying to make out the PS5 is ugly. Especially considering the Xbox is, well, nothing other than a box.Lies. The PS5 is beautiful. Especially the DE.
I actually think the slim looks a bit uglier - the line down the side ruins the flow, the top half being gloss and bottom matte instead of a single choice, and the concave curve on the black plastic instead of the normal flow.
Only positives are the extra Gbs, the ability to change a DE to a Disc edition, and the blue light running further down the front.

Exactly what I was saying. Having said that, I think it looks pretty awesome on my TV/Plasma stand. To repostWho cares about how it looks. It’s going to be on the TV stand.
Also, enjoy the last PS that can use physical media.
